Blind Truths

Posted by Key in

Sing me a song
Like the one you used to
Tell me the beautiful lies
That I've grown used to
I live in the past so I can
Stand like I used to
Your soft gentle voice
And even softer touch
Soothes my soul
As sinful as it sounds
I steal glimpses of your essence
From ill fated blinks of my good eye
Faded memories make it hard to clearly visualize
These special lies meant just for me
Your Bumble Bee
Faithful only to thee
Honey.... we produced beautifully
Not merely a reference,
No need for the label
As I invented it's essence
Right now I'm your motherfucker
But inside you still cry
No one could ever replace me
No money or one night stand
Could ever invigorate your soul
Your very DNA I still hold
Forever a part of me
Our chemicals united
Fruits of our labor are still abound
You may lie to yourself and try to replicate
That indigenous feeling we both once held
Through sin we produced Heaven
Or better yet, an Angel in this Hell

It takes a special gift to be able to turn life experiences into poetry. I don't know too many people who can do that really well. Also I can tell you really like Leryn Franco..
